Residence of Mao Zedong,a place full of historical significance and cultural value.This traditional southern-style farmhouse is made of earth-bricks and has a tiled roof.Built in 1878,it covers an area of 566.39 square meters with a construction area of 472.92 square meters.There are 20 rooms in total,with 14 rooms on the east side belonging to Mao Zedong's family,5 rooms on the west side for the neighbor,and the central hall shared by both.On December 26th,1893,Mao Zedong was born here and spent his childhood and youth in this simple yet warm house.The rooms are furnished as they were in the past,with the original bed he slept in,the desk where he studied,and other items.You can see the traces of his daily life,such as the books he read,the clothes he wore,which vividly show his growth process.

Outside,the front of the house features a pond where he once swam,and vast fields where he worked in his youth.The surrounding scenery is peaceful and full of rural charm.It was from this ordinary-looking place that a great leader emerged.He left here to seek the truth,started his revolutionary journey,and finally changed the fate of the Chinese nation.Visiting this former residence gives us a precious chance to get closer to his early life and understand how his experiences here shaped his thoughts and beliefs.It's a place that has witnessed history and continues to inspire people around the world.

The memorial hall is nestled on the Wohu Mountain,opposite Peng Dehuai's former residence in Wushi Town,and covers an area of 8 hectares.The architecture is grand and solemn,integrating the beauty of nature and history.With the museum name inscribed by Comrade Jiang Zemin,it is the only biographical museum in China that comprehensively and systematically introduces the life achievements of Marshal Peng Dehuai.Inside,there are over 2000 collections,including 37 precious cultural relics.These exhibits,along with historical photos and artworks,vividly display Peng Dehuai's life journey,from his arduous childhood to his heroic deeds in the revolutionary years,such as the Pingjiang Uprising,the Long March,the Hundred Regiments Offensive,and the War to Resist U.S.Aggression and Aid Korea.

Residence of General Chen Geng,located in Yangjiwan,Quanhu Village,Longdong Town,Xiangxiang City.It is a group of earthen-brick and grey-tile buildings,forming a concave shape with two floors and two wings.There are more than 40 rooms in total,showing the style of a medium-sized traditional residence.Sitting facing west with mountains at the back and water in the front,it enjoys a pleasant scenery.In the center is the main hall,which is divided into upper and lower halls with a large rectangular patio in the middle.It is a layout called "Mandarin Duck Hall" in ancient architecture.

The former residence now consists of the former residence itself,the Exhibition Hall of Chen Geng's Life and Achievements,and the cemetery of General Chen Geng and his wife.It was named as the fifth batch of Hunan Provincial Patriotic Education Bases in March 2020.Here,you can experience the growth environment of Chen Geng's youth through the scene restoration,and learn about his great achievements and legendary life in the exhibition hall.
