1.Yiliang Grand Canyon

Yiliang Grand Canyon in Zhaotong,a masterpiece of nature.With a relative height difference of over 1500 meters,it features high mountains,steep slopes,and deep gorges.The cross-section shows a "V" or "U"-shaped valley,created by the intense down-cutting of the Luozhe River over time.Along the canyon,you can witness the second-highest waterfall in Yunnan,the Luozhe River Waterfall,also known as Biaoshuiyan,with a drop of about 300 meters.The thundering sound of the waterfall and the magnificent view are truly breathtaking.

What's more,the canyon is home to various wild animals like macaque groups and blue sheep on the cliffs.The local ethnic minorities,such as the Miao and Yi people,live on both sides,and their simple and rich folk cultures are part of the charm here.There are also some historical sites,adding a touch of history to this natural wonder.

2.Zhaotong Museum

Zhaotong Museum,it is the only comprehensive one in Zhaotong.Its unique appearance,combining a large ship and an ancient-style Chinese seal,symbolizes carrying history forward.Inside,there are five exhibition halls.You can explore the long-standing history of Zhaotong from prehistoric times to modern days in the "Ancient Footsteps·Long History" hall.The "Revolutionary Base·Red Memories" hall shows Zhaotong's contributions during the revolutionary era.

We have a collection of over 16,000 cultural relics,with 500-plus pieces (sets) on display,including precious first-class,second-class,and third-class items.For example,the "Bronze Incense Burner with Grapes and Lid" and "Zhaotong Intangible Cultural Heritage Jiamas" are really eye-catching.The museum is open from 9:00 to 17:00,Tuesday to Sunday,and admission is free.

3.Ancient City Walls

Ancient City Walls,have a long and rich history.In the past,they played a really important role in protecting the city.The city used to have four gates:Fuzhen Gate in the east,Minning Gate in the south,Jichuan Gate in the west,and Quma Gate in the north.Each gate had its own special meaning related to the directions and hopes for the city's prosperity.

The walls were built with great care.They were made of large bricks and stones,with earth filled and tamped firmly in-between.Measuring about 2781.4 meters in circumference,4 meters thick on average,3.5-3.9 meters high,and having 1245 crenels,they were quite magnificent back then.Although most of the original walls were unfortunately demolished in the early 1950s,the memories and historical value they carried still remain.Now,as we stand here,we can still feel the charm and grandeur of the past,imagining the busy scenes of the ancient city and the stories that took place within these walls.

4.Dashanbao Nature Reserve

Dashanbao Nature Reserve in Zhaotong,this reserve is not only a natural wonder but also a crucial ecological fortress.It's home to the rare and precious black-necked cranes,a first-class protected species in China.Every year from October to April of the following year,thousands of black-necked cranes come here to overwinter,making it the area with the largest number of black-necked cranes per unit area in China.

The reserve also features a unique alpine wetland landscape,combining waters,marshes,and meadows,covering an area of 3,150 hectares.This wetland is not only a distinctive type of wetland in China but also an important ecological barrier of the Yangtze River system.

Here,you can also enjoy the magnificent Jigongshan Grand Canyon and the thrilling glass plank road.The sea of clouds here is like a dream,making you feel like you're in a fairyland.

5.Zhaotong City People's Park

Zhaotong City People's Park,a place that perfectly blends nature and urban life.As soon as we enter,you'll be greeted by the park's main square,a lively area filled with locals chatting,kids playing,and the sound of laughter everywhere.Just beside it,there's a beautiful flower garden.The garden is a riot of colors,with different kinds of flowers blooming all year round.It's like a natural painting,making it a great spot for photos.

Moving on,we have a large artificial lake.The lake is calm and clear,reflecting the blue sky above.You can rent a small boat here and gently row around,feeling the cool breeze on your face.Along the lake,there are walking paths lined with weeping willows.Their long branches sway in the wind,creating a peaceful and romantic atmosphere.

For those who love sports,there are well-equipped fitness areas.You can see people working out,staying fit while enjoying the park's pleasant environment.And if you're feeling hungry or thirsty,there are several cozy snack stands and cafes where you can grab a bite or a refreshing drink.

6.Daguanshan in Qiaojia County

Daguanshan in Qiaojia County,a nature lover's paradise.As we enter,you'll be greeted by the fresh mountain air and the lush greenery all around.The forest here is home to various plants,some of which are rare species.You can take a leisurely stroll along the paths,listening to the birds singing and the leaves rustling in the wind.

One of the highlights is the Haidong Scenic Area.You can take a thrilling ride on the cable-way,enjoying the panoramic view of the mountains.Inside the Haidong,there's a unique karst cave.Take a boat ride in the cave,and you'll feel like you're in a mysterious underground world,with strange-shaped stalactites and stalagmites on both sides.

There are also some cultural elements here.The local ethnic minorities have their own unique folk customs.We might meet some locals wearing traditional costumes and learn about their handicrafts,like embroidery and bamboo-weaving.

7.Longshu Mountain in Ludian County

Longshu Mountain in Ludian County,has an average altitude of about 2180 meters.The mountain is surrounded by lush forests with diverse plants.During the spring,it's a sea of blooming wildflowers; in autumn,the leaves turn various warm colors,making it a paradise for nature lovers.

Daguanshan in Zhenxiong County,a natural wonderland full of surprises.The moment we step here,you'll be greeted by the fresh mountain air and lush greenery all around.The forest on the mountain is like a huge natural oxygen bar,and you can breathe in the purest air and feel the energy of nature.

There are some unique natural landscapes waiting for us to explore.We might see clear streams running through the mountains,with the water so clear that you can see the pebbles at the bottom.The water makes a pleasant gurgling sound,as if it's playing a natural symphony for us.Also,the views from the mountaintop are breathtaking.You can overlook the vast mountains and the small villages in the distance,which look like beautiful paintings.

10.Daguanshan in Weixin County

Daguanshan in Weixin County,a place where natural beauty and cultural connotations coexist.As we enter the mountain area,we are greeted by the spectacular scenery of green mountains and clear waters.The mountains here undulate,covered with dense primeval forests.Towering ancient trees and all kinds of rare plants can be seen everywhere,making people feel as if they are in a green fairy-tale world.
